Beijing!

We had a mind-numbing, rear-end numbing trip across the world but it was without problem!  We were exhausted when we got on the plane, exhausted when we got off the plane and fell into bed around 7:00 last night without bothering to eat.  Of course, we woke up around midnight and checked the time every hour between short snoozes.  Today I feel rested, sort of.  We had a wonderful buffet breakfast with noodles, fried rice, baked beans, and croissants.  The usual fare for Chinese hotel restaurant buffets.  Needless to say, there were other food choices available that did not end up on our plates.  Then we made a trip to the ubiquitous 7-11 to stock up on instant Ramen, cookies, and water for the day.

Somehow I managed to stumble on the stairs and twisted my ankle.  Darn, I forgot the ace bandages. I was glad no one was around to see my ungraceful moment, except George who pulled me to my feet.  I guess I'm a little more jet-lagged than I thought.

Here I am with flat Hope and flat Faith in front of our hotel.

Breakfast Buffet.

Our room.

Our money, half in US, half in RMB.
